Meal Plan Monday [Hammer and Chisel Week 2]

It's Meal Plan Monday, and we are starting WEEK 2 of Hammer and Chisel. This meal plan is basically exactly the same as The 21 Day Fix, except no cheats.

This week I am using ground turkey, ground venison and chicken. On Tuesday I am using leftovers from a meal I made last week, because my girls have swim lessons at 5pm, so they will snack before, then I'll just re-heat the meal when we get home, saving me time. The butter chicken can also be a slow cooker meal, or made in a pot on the stove. Either way.

I did my shopping last night (Sunday night), and I got all my food for the week, including a bunch of fruit and veggies for the kids, for $140. Not bad for our family of 4.

Some of the recipes are included below. I do my best to estimate the container counts for each meal as well. I also am using a recipe from Clean Food Crush that I'm trying tonight for the first time (http://cleanfoodcrush.com/spaghetti-squash-skillet/) but I'm going to substitute some salsa instead of the spaghetti sauce, and I'm not using mushrooms, I'm going to add some peppers and maybe spinach instead.

For food prep, I'll cook the chicken and shred the chicken salad I'll brown the ground turkey and venison for the spaghetti squash skillet, and the mexican tacos. I'll clean the fruit and veggies, and bag them in serving size baggies for snacks.

This week is SO much easier then last week. I was having a hard time with cravings last week, but each day that gets easier! Sugar cravings are real, and I know that as long as I stick with it, they will get easier.
